Bilingual English-French Phone Interpreter

About the role

ITCMSS SARL, based in Douala, is looking for fluent English‑French interpreters to join a growing team that supports US institutions with real‑time phone interpretation. The role involves delivering accurate verbal translation for a variety of client interactions, ensuring seamless communication between service providers and foreign customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide live, bidirectional interpretation over phone calls for banks, post offices, medical centers and other US institutions.
• Use a dedicated application to translate conversations instantly in both directions.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy throughout each interaction.
• Adapt working hours to match the needs of US‑based clients.

Required profile

• Minimum C1 level fluency in both English and French.
• Solid background in professional customer service.
• High patience, empathy and a strong customer‑oriented attitude.
• Flexible availability to work shifts aligned with US time zones.
• Commitment to reliability and engagement as a core interpreter value.

Required skills

• Proficiency with phone‑based interpretation software.
• Excellent listening and speaking abilities in both languages.
