Field Sales Executive

About the role

The Field Sales Executive will act as a consultant to business owners, introducing them to the world’s leading logistics provider. This role focuses on delivering friendly, efficient service while strengthening DHL’s market leadership and reputation for service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Visit all assigned clients within a 90‑day call cycle.
• Build and expand revenue streams through face‑to‑face visits, problem solving and follow‑up.
• Capture daily updates on client visits, sales activity and other data using the designated CRM tools.
• Achieve a target of four First Time Buyers (FTBs) per month.
• Uphold DHL security procedures at all times.
• Manage customer concerns or complaints promptly according to DHL guidelines.
• Maintain adequate stationery and documentation to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain a pipeline strength of at least 40 % of total portfolio revenue.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance and Operations teams to maximise revenue growth within the territory.
• Identify and mitigate risks to customer relationships or sales figures.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree, matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• At least 3 years of field‑sales experience.
• Excellent business communication and fluency in English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage time, be punctual and work well under pressure.
• Good interpersonal and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of the courier/logistics industry is an advantage.
