Finance Manager Cameroon

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a Finance Manager to lead its finance function in Cameroon. The role will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure compliance with donor and regulatory requirements, and manage financial risk across multiple humanitarian programmes operating in a complex environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of finance policies, procedures and strategies in coordination with country and area offices.
• Lead a team of finance professionals, including performance management and capacity building.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets and forecasts for all programmes.
• Ensure internal controls, audit readiness and compliance with donor regulations.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision‑making and resource optimisation.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and procurement finance processes.
• Travel regularly to field offices and regional locations as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of senior finance management experience in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• Strong understanding of Cameroonian legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams in high‑risk settings.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and risk‑management capabilities.
