Invigilator (Exam Proctor)

About the role

The British Council is seeking reliable Invigilators to support the delivery of a variety of UK examinations across several venues in Cameroon. You will work closely with British Council staff and venue partners to ensure each test day runs smoothly and maintains the highest standards of security and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the test venue at the agreed time and notify staff promptly of any delays.
• Follow all British Council and exam‑board procedures, including emergency protocols.
• Invigilate examinations, monitoring candidates to prevent any breach of test conditions.
• Support the supervisor in providing a positive test‑day experience for candidates.
• Securely account for all examination materials and hand them over to the supervisor.
• Complete accurate records, logs, reports and any required claims.

• Professional demeanor to uphold the reputation of the British Council and exam boards.
• Good communication skills for interacting with candidates and staff.
• Reliability and punctuality for scheduled test days.
