Patient Care Technician / Nurse's Aid – Full‑Time Day Shift

About the role

Peterson Health, a not‑for‑profit rural community hospital in Kerrville, TX, is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Nurse's Aid to join its day‑shift team. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will provide essential basic and advanced nursing care to a designated group of patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and linen changes.
• Measure and record vital signs, assist with ambulation, and transport patients as needed.
• Support patients emotionally and physically, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to deliver coordinated, patient‑centered care.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to follow instructions.
• Demonstrated customer‑service orientation and multitasking ability.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer proficiency.
