Small Grants Programme Assistant

About the role

The Small Grants Programme Assistant supports the implementation of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) managed by UNDP. The role works closely with the National Coordinator to ensure grant projects are screened, evaluated, and managed in line with programme objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day programme and project implementation, ensuring alignment with expected results and work‑plans.
• Assist the National Coordinator in prescreening project concepts and proposals, including financial evaluation.
• Help develop and revise grant application forms, management tools, and programme documentation.
• Provide guidance to potential grantees on project preparation processes and programme guidelines.
• Prepare reports and updates for the National Coordinator and relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in programme or project support, preferably in environmental or development contexts.
• Familiarity with grant management processes and financial assessment.
• Ability to work with NGOs, community‑based organisations, and multi‑stakeholder teams.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
