Administrative Associate (GS-6) – 6-month contract

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a temporary Administrative Associate (GS‑6) for a six‑month assignment in Yaounde, Cameroon. The role provides specialised administrative support to the Operations/Administration and Finance Unit, ensuring smooth, timely and compliant delivery of services that underpin programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative workflow and manage office operations.
• Monitor budgets and support administrative planning.
• Arrange travel, meetings, events and related logistics.
• Provide procurement, contracting and vendor support.
• Process invoices, follow up records and transactions.
• Manage supplies, equipment, assets and premises support.
• Handle attendance tracking and team assistance.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in administrative support within an international or non‑profit organization.
• Familiarity with UNICEF rules, procedures and internal controls.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills.
