About the role
We are seeking a proactive Commercial Manager to support the Agency Manager in driving business development, managing client portfolios, and overseeing credit activities within our banking and financial services agency in Maroua.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze credit requests from merchants and economic operators and negotiate initial credit terms.
- Prepare, submit, and monitor credit files until completion, ensuring timely recovery of granted credits.
- Identify credit risks, propose mitigation measures, and follow up on credit performance.
- Assist the Agency Manager with commercial animation, prospecting new clients, and opening new accounts.
- Manage the agency’s Small Business channels and track commercial targets and team performance.
- Organise performance review meetings and act as backup for the Agency Manager when absent.
- Support agency opening/closing procedures and execute any additional tasks assigned by the Agency Manager.
Required profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) in Management, Business Administration or Commercial Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in the banking sector.
- Strong sense of responsibility, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and teamwork skills.
- High level of discipline, organization, and commitment.
- Must be based in Maroua and fluent in the local language (Foulfouldé).
