Driver – Office Vehicle (Bertoua)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a reliable driver to operate and maintain its office vehicle in Bertoua. The role supports the Senior Supply Chain Assistant and the Chief of Mission by ensuring safe, efficient transport for staff, documents and official duties.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s) and select the safest, most direct routes.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, oil, fan belt) and arrange minor repairs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular service intervals.
• Keep accurate logs, monthly mileage and fuel consumption reports.
• Manage spare‑part inventory and conduct monthly counts.
• Transport officials, handle airport immigration/customs formalities, and deliver mail and documents to offices, post offices, agencies and project sites.
• Assist office staff with basic clerical tasks when required.
• Uphold confidentiality and take actions to mitigate security risks during transport.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 2 years of relevant driving experience, or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Good knowledge of IOM activities, UN/donor‑funded project environments and transport administrative procedures.

Required skills
