Education Officer – Digitalization & Skills Development

About the role

UNICEF Cameroon is seeking an Education Officer to lead digital education and skills‑development initiatives. Working under the Education Specialist, you will help design, implement and monitor programmes that equip children, adolescents and young people – especially girls, out‑of‑school youth and vulnerable groups – with 21st‑century competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and planning of inclusive digital education, entrepreneurship and employability programmes.
• Contribute to strategies, workplans, tools and learning resources that improve literacy, numeracy and digital skills.
• Assist with programme implementation, field monitoring, reporting and risk tracking.
• Engage partners from government, private sector, technology and training organisations.
• Generate evidence, produce donor reports and help scale practical solutions for digital inclusion.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in Education, Development Studies or a related field.
• Experience in designing or managing education‑related programmes, preferably with a digital component.
• Strong understanding of gender‑responsive and inclusive approaches.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and travel within Cameroon.
