Education Officer (NO-2)

About the role

The Education Officer will support UNICEF’s education programming in the Far North region of Cameroon, ensuring that interventions are integrated with WASH, child protection and social protection, and are adapted to emergencies and climate risks. Working under the direct supervision of the Chief Field Office, the officer will contribute to the full programme cycle from planning to reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support education programme planning, situation analysis and results‑based design using relevant data and evidence.
• Contribute to programme implementation, monitoring, reporting and follow‑up to ensure timely delivery of results.
• Coordinate with UNICEF colleagues, government counterparts, implementing partners, UN agencies, donors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor the use of programme resources and ensure compliance with UNICEF procedures, donor commitments and accountability standards.
• Assist with data analysis, progress reporting and alignment of interventions with programme goals and objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in education, international development, humanitarian affairs or a related field.
• Experience in education programming, preferably in humanitarian or fragile contexts.
• Knowledge of integrating education with WASH, child protection and social protection programmes.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and liaise with government and partner organisations.
