Senior Aviation Specialist – Technical Advisory

About the role

NTU International A/S is seeking a Senior Non-Key Expert – Aviation Specialist to provide technical, policy and investment support for aviation projects worldwide, focusing on Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia‑Pacific. The role will contribute to the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project, starting January 2027, for a 48‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prepare and implement aviation infrastructure and air‑transport projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, project design reviews and investment analyses.
• Support airport master planning, infrastructure development and air‑connectivity planning.
• Advise on airport systems, operational efficiency, safety, security and compliance with international and European standards.
• Assist procurement, tendering, implementation supervision and O&M planning for aviation assets.
• Promote sustainable, low‑carbon aviation and integrate climate‑resilience, disaster‑risk reduction and ESG considerations.
• Support policy, regulatory and institutional reforms and improve investment climates.
• Provide capacity building and technical assistance to civil aviation authorities, airport operators and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with public authorities, IFIs, development partners and industry actors.

Required profile

• Highly qualified professional with extensive experience in aviation infrastructure, policy and investment.
• Proven ability to conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies and master‑planning.
• Strong knowledge of international and European aviation standards, safety and security regulations.
• Experience in sustainable aviation, climate‑resilience and ESG integration.
• Demonstrated capacity to work with civil aviation authorities, development partners and multinational teams.
