Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Internship – UNICEF Cameroon

About the role

UNICEF Cameroon is seeking multiple interns to support the Social and Behavior Change (SBC) section. The internship will be based in Yaoundé with possible assignments in Douala, Buea, Maroua, Bertoua, and Ngaoundéré. Interns will contribute to the implementation of the national SBC strategy across health, education, WASH, child protection and other sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing and monitoring SBC activities in both humanitarian and development contexts.
• Support data collection, analysis and reporting on SBC interventions.
• Collaborate with frontline workers, government partners and NGOs to ensure effective communication of key messages.
• Help prepare communication materials, briefs and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving SBC approaches.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate in social sciences, public health, communication, education or related fields.
• Strong interest in child rights, development issues and behavior change approaches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and adapt to multiple locations.
