Staff Nurse

About the role

The Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) is seeking a Staff Nurse to support the CHANGE‑CVD implementation research project in Wayanad, Kerala. The role focuses on screening, assessing, and coordinating care for patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes and related risk factors using a digital health platform.

Key responsibilities

• Screen patients for cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes and related risk factors.
• Conduct patient assessments using the project’s digital health platform and accurately record data.
• Coordinate with medical officers, RHTC/UHC/PHC staff and specialists to ensure smooth implementation of the intervention.
• Assist medical officers and specialists in both online and offline consultations.
• Serve as primary contact for PHC/RHTC stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
• Implement digital health strategies in line with project objectives and prepare activity reports.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, propose solutions and support field implementation.
• Provide regular updates to project investigators and perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or PI.

Required profile

• Registered nursing qualification.
• Experience in primary health‑care settings, preferably with chronic disease screening.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage reporting and coordination tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using digital health platforms for patient assessment and data entry.
