Technical Officer – Community HIV Programs

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Officer to provide technical guidance and support for community‑based HIV testing, treatment, care and support services in Garoua, Cameroon. The role will work closely with sub‑granted partners, the Strategic Information team and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high‑quality implementation of the EpiC project.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to sub‑granted partners for the implementation of community‑based HIV activities.
• Review progress, identify challenges and propose solutions to keep work plans on track.
• Develop, adapt and disseminate tools, materials, workplans and progress reports.
• Ensure activities follow standard operating procedures and project SOPs.
• Establish and maintain monitoring mechanisms to track partner performance.
• Coordinate closely with the Strategic Information and Evaluation team to align data collection and reporting.
• Support integration of community platforms with facility‑based services for high‑risk groups such as long‑distance truck drivers, children and adolescents living with HIV, and HIV‑exposed infants.

Required profile

• Experience in community‑based HIV testing, treatment, care or support programmes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, government agencies and NGOs.
• Strong organizational skills to manage timelines, budgets and reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures and monitoring frameworks.
