Instrumentation Engineer – Panoli

About the role

FMC Corporation is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support its Panoli plant operations. You will be responsible for planning, maintaining, and improving instrumentation and control systems that underpin our crop‑protection manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the instrument index from P&ID drawings.
• Develop instrument lists, technical specifications, and perform vendor technical queries.
• Review loop diagrams, conduct loop checks, and evaluate technical bids for instruments and control systems.
• Create logic diagrams, verify alarms and interlocks, and support HAZOP and SIS studies.
• Lead a team of 5‑10 technicians to resolve plant instrumentation issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Commission and commission instruments and control systems according to OEM guidelines.
• Maintain critical spares and manage the lifecycle of transmitters, detectors, analyzers, and control valves.
• Program and modify PLC, SCADA, and DCS platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens S7‑1500).
• Utilize SAP ERP and CEMS systems for data integration and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in instrumentation engineering within a process‑industry environment.
• Ability to lead technical teams and communicate effectively with vendors.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
