SBC Section Internship – Multiple Locations, 6‑Month Full‑Time

About the role

UNICEF Cameroon is looking for motivated interns to support the national Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) strategy across several regions. The 6‑month full‑time placement will involve working directly with frontline workers, caregivers and communities to generate demand for essential services in health, education, WASH and child protection.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing community‑engagement activities that promote positive behavioural change.
• Support data collection, monitoring and reporting on SBC interventions.
• Collaborate with sector teams to align SBC messages with health, education and protection programmes.
• Contribute to the development of communication materials and demand‑generation tools.
• Participate in field visits to assess impact and gather feedback from beneficiaries.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate in public health, social sciences, communication, development studies or a related field.
• Strong interest in child rights, community development and behaviour change approaches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
