Electrical System Installation (ESI) Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical System Installation (ESI) Consultant to support the Aerospace client’s Commercial Aircraft Customer Services department. The consultant will focus on electrical installation engineering, contributing to the development of a new engineering tool that captures routing, harnesses, wiring, brackets and installation definitions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the ESI referent within the tool‑development process, defining routing, wiring, harnesses, bundles, connectors, brackets and segregation rules.
• Collect, challenge and formalise user needs, use cases and engineering rules to be embedded in the tool.
• Contribute to functional specifications, data‑model definition and structuring of electrical installation data.
• Analyse wiring diagrams (ASM/WDM), installation drawings and 3D digital mock‑ups (DMU) to provide accurate tool inputs.
• Consolidate multi‑ATA electrical installation data (ATA 24, 92 and interfacing systems) into the tool scope.
• Participate in development, test and validation loops with digital teams, reporting non‑conformities and defining acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and maintain tool‑related documentation such as specifications, user guides and process descriptions.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Bac+2/Bac+3 or Bac+5) in electrical engineering, electrotechnics, aeronautics or embedded systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical system installation engineering within the aerospace industry.
• Design Office experience strongly preferred; experience on the A350 programme is a plus.

Required skills

• Electrical installation principles: harness and bundle design, routing, segregation and separation, grounding/bonding, protections, EWIS.
• Analysis of wiring diagrams (ASM/WDM) and installation drawings.
• 3D digital mock‑up (DMU) interpretation.
• Data‑model definition and functional specification development.
• Tool development and validation in an aerospace context.
