IN & VAS Engineer – Charging Systems & Value Added Services

About the role

The IN & VAS Engineer is responsible for ensuring fault‑free operation and high availability of the charging system, value‑added services and subscription‑management platforms. The role combines proactive maintenance, network monitoring and technical support to deliver reliable telecom services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd‑level maintenance and support for charging systems, subscription‑management and VAS network elements, handling escalations from 1st line.
• Implement platform upgrades, system expansions and routine business requirements such as short‑code changes and SMS routing.
• Deliver specialist technical advice to the Operations Manager and propose improvement initiatives aligned with technology trends.
• Coordinate emergency response actions, ensuring service continuity during incidents.
• Monitor vendor performance during third‑level escalations and provide feedback for quality improvement.
• Participate in knowledge‑transfer sessions and contribute to training needs for the team.
• Assess technical feasibility of new products or service propositions from the business unit.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or IT.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Intelligent Network environments.
• At least 2 years experience in platform integration.
• Experience supervising others is an advantage.
• ITIL V3 Foundation certification is mandatory.
