Senior Partnerships Advisor

About the role

UNOPS is seeking a senior Partnerships Advisor to lead the development and implementation of its partnership strategy in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role will guide partnerships officers, coordinate donors and clients, and support programme development in collaboration with governments, UN agencies and NGOs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive partnerships development strategy aligned with UNOPS strategic and regional plans.
• Conduct country and sector analysis, donor mapping and situation analyses to identify high‑priority partners and opportunities.
• Lead donor and client coordination, ensuring effective communication and alignment of project objectives.
• Advise senior management on partnership strategy implementation and support project development planning.
• Foster a pipeline of partnership opportunities, promote a diverse project portfolio and leverage internal knowledge resources.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in partnership development, donor coordination or business development within the international development sector.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders from governments, UN entities and NGOs.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in mapping donors and assessing strategic opportunities.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
