Field Officer – Agent Network Management

About the role

Wave is expanding its cashless financial services across Cameroon and needs a Field Officer to lead product roll‑outs in key regions. You will build and manage a local agent network, recruit and onboard users, and act as the primary representative of Wave on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, recruit and train agents in the assigned territory (Yaoundé, Bafoussam, Bertoua, Maroua/Kaéle, Douala, Garoua).
• Onboard target users onto Wave’s mobile payment platform and drive adoption.
• Ensure agents comply with legal, policy and branding requirements.
• Monitor cash float, equipment and branding material at agent locations.
• Conduct routine visits to assess performance, manage risk and resolve emerging issues.
• Close under‑performing agents, recover equipment and remove branding.
• Collaborate with other Field Officers to share best practices and accelerate market penetration.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience managing an agent network or field‑based teams in Cameroon.
• Minimum 1 year of experience supervising field staff.
• Fluent French and good command of English; additional local language is a plus.
• Familiarity with one of the listed regions.
• Valid work authorization for Cameroon.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of agent network management and compliance.
• Ability to train and coach agents on mobile applications and fraud prevention.
