Senior Reintegration Associate (G6) – Douala

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Cameroon is seeking a Senior Reintegration Associate to strengthen its Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) unit. The role supports the delivery and coordination of reintegration assistance for returning migrants, aligning with the EU‑funded Migration Governance Enhancement project and the existing MPRR SSA programme.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical coordination of AVRR activities under the supervision of the Chief of Mission and the National Reintegration Officer.
• Maintain regular communication with project units, partners, government representatives, NGOs, and other IOM staff.
• Recruit, train, and equip Reintegration Assistants (case managers) and guide them in developing reintegration plans.
• Assist Reintegration Assistants in building local referral networks and conducting individual assessments of returning migrants.
• Ensure timely collection and transmission of monitoring data to IOM’s institutional database.
• Collaborate closely with the mission’s Monitoring and Evaluation unit and conduct regular field missions.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education (e.g., social sciences, migration studies, development).
• Significant experience in migration, reintegration, or humanitarian program coordination.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government and NGOs.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
