ERD Cash and Livelihoods Assistant

About the role

The ERD Cash and Livelihoods Assistant supports the implementation of Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) and Income Generation Assistance (IGA) programmes in Manyu Division, South West Region of Cameroon. Working within the IRC humanitarian team, the role contributes to improving the safety, dignity and economic stability of displaced populations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of cash assistance to eligible beneficiaries, ensuring compliance with IRC policies and donor requirements.
• Support income‑generation projects by facilitating trainings, monitoring progress, and linking beneficiaries to market opportunities.
• Maintain accurate beneficiary records, track disbursements, and prepare regular reports for programme managers and donors.
• Liaise with local authorities, community leaders, and partner organisations to identify needs and resolve implementation challenges.
• Participate in field assessments, data collection, and impact evaluations to inform programme adjustments.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to humanitarian principles and experience working in crisis‑affected settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural teams and adapt to rapidly changing environments.
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
