Legal Specialist – Oilfield Services & Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual attorney to join our global legal team, focusing on commercial contracts for oilfield services and equipment. The role supports mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal reviews of contracts, identify risks, and ensure consistency between French and English versions.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of agreements, including master service agreements, pricing contracts, software licenses, bids, tenders, NDAs, and sub‑contracts.
• Collaborate with business development, sales, and government contracting teams to align legal advice with commercial objectives.
• Manage legal operations initiatives such as outside‑counsel coordination and reporting on key performance metrics.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited university and a valid license to practice law.
• Minimum 5 years of experience negotiating commercial contracts, with at least 2 years in the oil & gas industry.
• Proven ability to review, draft, and negotiate contracts in both French and English.
• Strong analytical, writing, and independent work capabilities.

Required skills

• Fluency in French and English (written and verbal).
• Expertise in contract law, risk assessment, and legal compliance.
• Experience supporting global business operations.
