Programme Manager – Education & Child Protection

About the role

Street Child is seeking a Programme Manager to lead its education and child protection programmes in Cameroon. Reporting to the Country Director, you will be responsible for designing, funding, delivering and monitoring high‑impact interventions for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall programme design and ensure timely delivery of education and child protection activities.
• Develop and implement resource‑mobilisation strategies, identify funding gaps and secure financing from private foundations, corporate sponsors and other donors.
• Manage programme budgets, track expenditures and ensure value for money.
• Oversee staff and team management, including recruitment, supervision and performance monitoring.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local organisations, inter‑agency bodies and government authorities.
• Lead proposal development and donor reporting.
• Represent Street Child in field‑level coordination meetings and advocacy forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme design, delivery and management within education or child‑protection sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to mobilise resources and develop successful fundraising proposals.
• Strong budget management and financial oversight skills.
• Experience leading and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent partnership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective programmes.
