Senior Officer – National Society Investment & Localization

About the role

The Senior Officer, National Society Investment and Localization will translate the Delegation’s strategic ambitions into measurable institutional change for four National Red Cross Societies. Based in Yaounde, the role supports the implementation of IFRC Renewal 3.0, focusing on governance, leadership, digitalisation, resource mobilisation and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the operationalisation of the National Society Investment Framework (NSIF) and Capacity Building Funding (CBF) across Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tomé & Principe.
• Coordinate with national society leadership to develop, monitor and report on investment plans for 2026‑2027.
• Facilitate capacity‑building activities that strengthen governance, branch development, volunteer management and digital systems.
• Ensure localisation and accountability principles are embedded in all investment initiatives.
• Provide analytical support, data collection and performance tracking to demonstrate impact.
• Collaborate with IFRC headquarters, regional offices and other partners to align resources and expertise.

Required profile

• Significant experience in institutional investment, capacity building or programme management within the humanitarian sector.
• Strong understanding of localisation, accountability and governance in National Society contexts.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple countries and cultures.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
