About the role

The Aviation Facilities Worker I provides essential cleaning and minor maintenance services for airport buildings, passenger terminals, and surrounding grounds. This role supports the smooth operation of airport facilities by ensuring clean, safe, and well‑maintained environments for staff and travelers.

Key responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, offices, and passenger terminal facilities using appropriate methods and materials.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and repairs in airport buildings and adjacent grounds.
• Set up and tear down equipment for scheduled events.
• Read and follow Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all cleaning chemicals.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
• Work with minimal supervision on routine tasks and follow direct supervision for non‑routine assignments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of janitorial cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license at time of appointment and maintained thereafter.
• Physical ability to handle cleaning work, lift and move supplies, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
