Country Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Country Human Resources Manager will lead all HR functions for Management Sciences for Health in Cameroon. Reporting to the Cameroon Country Lead, the manager ensures HR practices align with both organizational goals and local labor regulations, supporting project delivery across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute transparent recruitment processes for technical, administrative, and consultant positions.
• Prepare job descriptions, manage vacancy announcements, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and issue employment offers.
• Maintain accurate recruitment trackers, candidate records, and HR information systems.
• Draft and administer employment contracts compliant with Cameroon labor law and MSH policies.
• Coordinate onboarding and deliver comprehensive orientation covering benefits, policies, ethics, compliance, and safeguarding.
• Manage confidential personnel files, monitor contract periods, probation, and mandatory training.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures, consulting global HR when needed.
• Ensure staff complete required training on ethics, compliance, integrity, and safeguarding.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing HR functions in an international or non‑profit environment.
• Strong knowledge of Cameroon labor law and donor compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret and apply HR policies, maintain confidentiality, and support senior management.
• Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
