Data Management Officer – Clinical Service Improvement & Science

About the role

The Data Management Officer – Clinical Service Improvement & Science (DMO‑CSIS) will support EGPAF’s Cameroon program by managing data for evaluation and clinical support projects. Reporting to the Director of Public Health Evaluation, the incumbent will ensure high‑quality data collection, processing, and analysis while collaborating with local and international investigators.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electronic data capture tools and databases for specific evaluation projects.
• Extract datasets from central databases and perform data quality assessments.
• Generate error listings, issue data queries, and supervise correction processes.
• Ensure statistical activities comply with country regulatory requirements and EGPAF standards.
• Collaborate with evaluation team members to maintain consistent statistical approaches.
• Support data management for additional research protocols.
• Perform statistical analyses for reports, presentations, and communications.
• Maintain regular communication with local and international investigators, the Cameroon Ministry of Health, and sponsor institutions.
• Mentor and train junior staff on data collection, quality, and management.

• Experience in data management and analysis for health evaluation projects.
• Ability to supervise, train, and mentor junior staff.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with local and international partners.
