About the role

The Director of Dining Services leads the food and beverage operation for a Compass Community Living site, ensuring high‑quality culinary experiences, resident satisfaction, and strong financial performance. Reporting to senior leadership, this role shapes service strategy and acts as the public face of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an operating strategy aligned with Compass Community Living goals.
• Drive a culture of ownership and accountability across the on‑site leadership team.
• Conduct daily walk‑throughs to verify compliance with health regulations and company standards.
• Lead safety, sanitation and maintenance programs for all food service areas.
• Facilitate pre‑meal briefings, staff meetings and ongoing communication throughout the department.
• Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
