Director of Industrial Projects & Maintenance

About the role

The Director of Industrial Projects & Maintenance will oversee the planning, execution and delivery of major industrial projects while establishing a long‑term maintenance strategy for the complex. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget and to quality standards, and drives equipment reliability and asset sustainability after commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle (feasibility, design, tendering, construction, commissioning, handover) and manage CAPEX budgets, schedules, quality and risk.
• Design and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs, select and optimise a CMMS, and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Build, recruit and develop maintenance teams to ensure operational readiness and plant reliability.
• Develop and monitor CAPEX and OPEX budgets, lead steering committees and provide performance reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, electrical and industrial regulations, integrating QHSE requirements and ISO/HACCP standards.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, coordinate with engineering, production, finance, HR and QHSE, and manage relationships with contractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale industrial projects and maintenance operations.
• Strong background in CAPEX and OPEX budget management.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure regulatory and QHSE compliance.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) implementation and optimisation.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and HACCP requirements.
• Permit‑to‑work and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Project lifecycle management for industrial facilities.
