Education Specialist (6‑month TA)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Education Specialist on a six‑month technical assistance assignment to support the design, implementation and monitoring of education programmes in Cameroon. The role reports to the Chief, Education or the Education Manager and contributes to improving learning outcomes for marginalized children.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development, planning and budgeting for education interventions.
• Manage programme delivery, monitor progress and ensure results are reported in line with UNICEF’s RBM framework.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to field teams during implementation.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in education, economics, psychology, sociology or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in education programme planning, management or research.
• Fluency in French and intermediate proficiency in English.
• Experience working with multilateral agencies or sector‑wide approaches is desirable.
