Field Auditor

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa and needs a proactive Field Auditor to ensure the integrity of its premium agency network. You will travel across the northern regions of Cameroon, performing cash audits, investigating discrepancies, and supporting agents with training and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Visit designated premium agencies regularly to conduct cash audits and report any shortcomings.
• Investigate audit discrepancies, identify root causes, and provide targeted training to agents.
• Follow up on debt reimbursements in collaboration with field officers, recovery, and operations teams.
• Contribute to updating security and operational risk maps with information on potential threats.
• Train cashiers on procedural standards and raise fraud awareness among agency staff.
• Participate in risk analyses for new agency setups, pre‑financing decisions, and specific projects.

Required profile

• Fluency in French and good command of English; local language skills are a plus.
• At least 2 years of university‑level experience in finance or accounting, with experience handling high cash volumes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to gather, analyse, and report data effectively.
