Finance Controller

About the role

G4S Security Services Cameroon PLC is looking for a highly skilled Finance Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the role involves overseeing a team of about 16 full‑time employees and ensuring compliance with local legislation and Group Finance Controls.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
• Maintain and develop internal control procedures to protect company assets.
• Prepare and review budgets, financial projections, and monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate preparation and filing of state and international tax returns with third‑party firms.
• Ensure compliance with new accounting standards and emerging guidance.
• Coordinate external financial statement audits and prepare required documentation.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate direct reports, and review general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain relationships with bankers, external accountants, and insurance agents, and oversee payroll processing with a third‑party provider.
