Gender and Adolescent Intern – Yaoundé (6‑month)

About the role
UNICEF Cameroon is looking for a motivated intern to support the Adolescent and Gender Programme. The intern will contribute to the development and validation of the Girls’ Rights Agenda, a key component of the country’s gender strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in compiling inputs, formatting documents and tracking activities for the Girls’ Agenda.
- Support coordination with civil society organisations, NGOs and youth groups, maintaining simple tracking tools such as contact lists and attendance sheets.
- Engage with girls’ networks and associations, follow up on activities and help prepare basic outreach materials.
- Provide administrative support for meetings, events and reporting related to the programme.
Required profile
- Cameroon national (the position is open to Cameroon citizens only).
- Strong interest in gender equality, adolescent development and child protection.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners.
