Medical Representatives – Generic Medicines

About the role

Exphar, a pharmaceutical company belonging to an international group and operating mainly across Africa, promotes generic medicines. It is hiring 6 Medical Representatives in Cameroon to act as ambassadors in the field, promoting its products to healthcare professionals and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Promote pharmaceutical products to physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, highlighting their benefits, quality and unique features.
• Develop the client portfolio by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening Exphar's presence in the Cameroonian market.
• Analyze field needs, market trends, customer behaviour and the competitive landscape to propose strategies and optimise commercial and marketing approaches.
• Work with internal teams to design and run targeted action plans.
• Report accurately and on time via the company's CRM, covering visit records, activity reports, target tracking and performance reporting.
• Contribute to pharmacovigilance by reporting relevant information promptly in line with procedures and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (at least three years of higher education) in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience selling or promoting technical products (pharmaceutical, medical or paramedical).
• Knowledge of the Cameroonian healthcare network and an existing client portfolio are strong assets.
• Ability to work independently, organise field visits and travel schedules, and handle a demanding, multicultural environment.
• Valid driver's licence and a personal vehicle in good working condition.

Required skills

• CRM system proficiency for visit tracking, reporting and activity management.
• Good command of Microsoft Office Suite and email tools.
• Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and public health challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, negotiation ability and a results-oriented, proactive approach.
