Regional Supply Chain Officer – Far North (Maroua)

About the role

The Regional Supply Chain Officer will support Management Sciences for Health in strengthening the management and availability of essential health commodities across the Far North (Maroua) or North (Garoua) regions of Cameroon. Reporting to the Regional Supply Chain Advisor, the officer provides technical and operational assistance to regional authorities, health districts and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist regional authorities, warehouses and health facilities in forecasting, quantification and supply planning.
• Identify and address stockouts, over‑stock, expiry risks and delivery delays.
• Support implementation of inventory control, good storage practices and distribution procedures.
• Conduct regular field visits and supportive supervision to assess supply‑chain practices and recommend improvements.
• Collect, validate and analyse logistics data, ensuring timely reporting from districts and facilities.
• Strengthen use of logistics management information systems and electronic reporting tools.
• Facilitate coordination meetings, technical discussions and follow‑up actions with stakeholders.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and on‑the‑job support to staff on inventory management and data use.

Required profile

• Experience working with public health or pharmaceutical authorities in a supply‑chain context.
• Strong analytical abilities to review consumption, stock and service‑delivery data.
• Excellent communication skills for coaching and stakeholder coordination.
