Registered Dietitian – Behavioral Health (Inpatient)

About the role

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Registered Dietitian to deliver expert nutrition care in an inpatient behavioral health setting at the new MUSC Health Leatherman Behavioral Care Pavilion. The role includes cross‑coverage for services at MUSC Florence Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and create individualized care plans for acute‑care patients.
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education to patients, families, staff, and the community.
• Apply evidence‑based guidelines, diet manuals, and facility protocols to ensure consistent, high‑quality care.
• Participate in Quality & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives to advance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with food service management to support patient satisfaction and service goals.
• Mentor dietetic interns and support staff development.

Required profile

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with CDR certification.
• Experience in inpatient or behavioral health nutrition care preferred.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday with rotating weekend coverage.
