Sous Chef – Monongahela, PA

About the role

The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in managing the culinary operations of a healthcare facility in Monongahela, PA. This role combines menu development, food preparation, and team supervision to deliver high‑quality meals for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with cost control and expenditure management.
• Help plan, create, and update daily and special menus.
• Prepare and execute catering events and new culinary programs.
• Supervise hourly kitchen associates and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the marketing and culinary teams to roll out new initiatives.

Required profile

• A.S. degree or equivalent culinary experience.
• Progressive kitchen management experience, preferably in high‑volume, institutional foodservice.
• Catering experience is a plus.
• Experience with batch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe certification highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Outlook, email, and internet navigation.
• ServSafe certification.

What we offer

• Salary range $58,000 – $58,500 per year.
