Student Assistant – Vendor Management (Internship)

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Student Assistant to support its Vendor Management team for a 12‑month internship. You will gain hands‑on experience in logistics operations, supplier compliance and data‑driven decision making while working alongside seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in tracking vendor performance against KPIs and Service Level Agreements.
• Collect, validate and analyse vendor performance data.
• Support weekly and monthly vendor performance review meetings.
• Prepare vendor scorecards, dashboards and performance reports.
• Monitor daily transport and logistics vendor activities and follow up on operational issues.
• Maintain vendor action logs, continuous improvement plans and support escalation management.
• Assist with vendor onboarding, qualification and documentation compliance.
• Generate KPI reports on on‑time delivery, transit time, safety, claim management, capacity utilisation and cost performance.
• Attend vendor meetings, record minutes and follow up on agreed actions.
• Support operational audits, process improvement initiatives and SOP implementation.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Management, Economics or a related field.
• Previous internship experience is advantageous but not required.
