Agent Liquidity Lead

About the role

Wave is hiring an Agent Liquidity Lead to manage agent liquidity and cash operations across Cameroon. You will ensure that agents have sufficient cash to meet customer demand while maintaining cost‑effectiveness and security.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a skilled team to support Wave’s fast‑growing environment in Cameroon.
• Develop structured materials and processes for a sustainable liquidity department.
• Monitor nationwide liquidity status, identify priority areas and devise innovative solutions.
• Plan and coordinate cash logistics among agents, banks, cash‑in‑transit firms and premium agents.
• Manage the agent network to minimise liquidity distress.
• Enforce security standards, report challenges promptly and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Fluency in French and English.
• 5+ years experience in cash movements, cash‑in‑transit or treasury.
• 2+ years experience leading a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or a comparable field.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within Cameroon.
• Proven experience in customer relationship management and agent network negotiation.
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to document processes and transfer knowledge effectively.
