Area Continuous Improvement Subject Matter Expert

About the role

Maersk is seeking an Area Continuous Improvement Subject Matter Expert to drive operational excellence across its West African locations. The role will support transformation initiatives, platform adoption and process optimisation, working closely with regional and global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure local Standard Operating Procedures align with global standards and are consistently applied.
• Support process optimisation initiatives, including updates to management operating systems, processes and platforms.
• Act as a local ambassador for new platforms, testing solutions and providing structured feedback.
• Lead change‑management activities to enable process and platform transformations.
• Roll out training programmes, onboard employees and promote continuous learning.
• Monitor and report on process improvement results, platform adoption and operational performance metrics.
• Foster collaboration and ownership by supporting Super Users and operational stakeholders.

Required profile

• Continuous‑improvement mindset with curiosity about how work gets done.
• Broad operational experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, manufacturing, terminal or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of processes and systems with ability to document and improve them.
• Experience in change management, process implementation or business transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive sustainable improvements.
