Associate Director, Field Reimbursement

About the role

The Associate Director, Field Reimbursement will optimize access to Alnylam products across the Northwest region by addressing reimbursement and patient‑access challenges. Reporting to the Field Reimbursement Director, this role leads educational and in‑service programs for various sites of care and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop tactical plans.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize access to the full Alnylam portfolio by ensuring provider accounts understand reimbursement dynamics.
• Identify trends that create barriers to access or reimbursement and develop proactive solutions.
• Engage with key stakeholders—including intake/authorization teams, billing compliance, finance executives, infusion center managers, and pharmacy leaders—to support treatment pathways.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to case managers and field reimbursement managers on complex prior‑authorization and appeal issues.
• Maintain relationships with Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) and monitor Local and National Coverage Determinations.
• Collaborate with the Public Policy & Government Relations team on engagement strategies.

Required profile

• Passionate about science and motivated to deliver value to patients.
• Extensive knowledge of “buy‑and‑bill” specialty products.
• Proven experience in field reimbursement, case management, and prior‑authorization/appeal processes.
• Ability to build and deepen relationships with external reimbursement‑focused stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset to work with internal teams such as National Account Leads, Health Systems Directors, and Sales.
