AWS Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

About the role

The AWS Engineer will design, build, and optimise cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services, ensuring scalability, security and cost‑efficiency. Working closely with development and IT teams, you will automate deployments, implement infrastructure as code and support continuous delivery pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy secure, scalable AWS environments using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS, and IAM.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation or Terraform and integrate it into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor performance, optimise costs, manage configurations and ensure high availability.
• Apply cloud security best practices and maintain compliance with relevant standards.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and IT operations to support application workloads.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for cloud solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Proven experience designing and operating cloud solutions at scale.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda).
• Scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus.
• Configuration management: Ansible, Chef.
