Car Sales Specialist

About the role

The Car Sales Specialist works full‑time on‑site at ABN Motors in Douala, welcoming prospective customers and guiding them through the purchase process. The role combines product presentation, test drives, quotation preparation, and financing assistance to ensure a smooth buying experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome visitors to the showroom, assess their needs and recommend suitable vehicles or trucks.
• Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle features.
• Prepare price quotations, negotiate terms within company guidelines, and support customers with financing and paperwork.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and follow up on leads.
• Manage customer records and appointments using the CRM system.
• Coordinate with service and finance teams to streamline the sales process.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets and participate in promotional events.
• Provide post‑sale support to build long‑term customer relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum Bac+2/3 (2–3 years of higher education) in business, sales or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience selling vehicles, trucks or similar equipment.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive or heavy‑duty vehicle market.
• Excellent sales, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Results‑oriented, dynamic, autonomous and customer‑focused.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools for lead and customer management.
• Comfort using mobile or desktop applications to handle appointments and records.
