About the role

Jozi is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead its culturally intelligent dating platform from Douala. The CEO will set the strategic direction, scale operations, and drive global expansion while ensuring alignment with the company’s mission of meaningful, values‑based connections.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the overall vision and growth strategy for Jozi.
• Oversee product, operations, finance, marketing, and talent functions.
• Lead fundraising initiatives and manage investor and stakeholder relationships.
• Allocate capital to support sustainable growth and expansion into new markets.
• Monitor key performance metrics and refine go‑to‑market strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
• Represent Jozi publicly, building partnerships and fostering an inclusive, high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in tech, consumer internet, or marketplace platforms.
• Strong expertise in finance and business planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and investor reporting.
• Extensive background in operations management and building scalable processes.
• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and execution of global expansion.
• Track record of sales and commercial leadership, driving customer acquisition and revenue growth.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness and ability to work on‑site in Douala and collaborate with an international team.
