Education Specialist (Temporary, 6 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Education Specialist on a six‑month temporary appointment to support the design, implementation and monitoring of education programmes in Cameroon. The role reports to the Chief, Education (Level 5/4) or Education Manager (Level 4) and contributes to improving learning outcomes for marginalized children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and planning of education sector programmes and projects.
• Manage programme implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to ensure results‑based management.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in education, economics, psychology, sociology or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in programme planning, management or research in education.
• Fluency in French and intermediate proficiency in English.
