Equipment Operator – Material Handling & Truck Driving

About the role

APM Terminals is seeking a meticulous Equipment Operator to safely operate trucks and material‑handling equipment, move and store merchandise, and support order fulfillment within a busy warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and start the engine at the beginning of each shift.
• Operate trucks and forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack products safely.
• Identify and report equipment faults, damages, or safety concerns immediately.
• Sort, pack, wrap, label and weigh products according to company procedures.
• Handle hazardous waste under supervisor direction.
• Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and completing pre‑ and post‑shift inspections.
• Record movements of supplies and finished goods and update log sheets.
• Keep the work area clean by removing pallets, wood, and plastic.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of truck driving or similar commercial experience.
• Valid truck driver’s licence and ability to operate trucks and forklifts.
• Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment and follow regulations.
