Financial Operations Manager

About the role

The Financial Operations Manager will lead the Fintech back‑office team, ensuring service level agreements are met and supporting mobile money agents, merchants and consumers. The role reports daily to the functional lead and drives strategy implementation, risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Fintech Back Office Team to meet SLAs for internal and external customer support.
• Oversee daily reconciliation of Fintech escrow and bank accounts and monitor balances, variances and settlements.
• Execute policies, procedures and governance mechanisms cascaded by the functional lead.
• Participate in strategic meetings, drive OpCo transformation initiatives and manage escalations affecting multiple functions.
• Develop and deliver training programs on MoMo products and processes for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in a related discipline; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• 4‑6 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in fintech, banking or mobile money back‑office operations and agent/merchant management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of fintech, payment, e‑commerce, banking and micro‑finance ecosystems.
• Back‑office process management, SLA and query handling.
• Incident and complaint management, customer relationship management.
• Stakeholder relations and project planning, organising and delivery.
