Freelance Market Researcher and Data Analyst, Cameroon

About the role

Euromonitor International is seeking a self‑employed market researcher and data analyst to work remotely from anywhere in Cameroon. You will support multiple industry projects by gathering, analysing, and reporting on consumer market data for a global strategy research leader.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct secondary research and maintain a digital library of trade press, company reports, national statistics and broker analyses.
• Interview industry opinion leaders, manufacturers, distributors, associations and government contacts to collect primary data.
• Create and update large data sets in MS‑Excel and synthesize qualitative insights.
• Produce written reports and PowerPoint presentations in English for internal and client use.
• Perform retail audits of major retailers across Cameroon as required.

Required profile

• Strong numeracy and ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• High interest in market research, especially food, nutrition and pet‑care sectors.
• Proactive approach to recruiting interviewees and building long‑term industry networks.
